Milk Sweetmeat / Rasgula

Milk Sweetmeat / Rasgula
 Ingredients :
5 cups milk
1 teaspoon ghee
1/2 cup caster sugar
1/4 teaspoon cardamom, ground
Slivers of almonds

Method :
With a large frying pan, add in the milk and make khoa. Heat the ghee in a small aluminum saucepan. Crumbled the khoa into small pieces and add into the ghee. Stir over low heat until the khoa is heated through. Stir in the sugar and constantly stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar is fully mixed. Remove from the heat and add in the spices. Beat the mixture until smooth. Shape into small balls and flatten with the palms to make a circle. Put on a buttered dish to cool and firm. The sweetmeat will not harden as it is supposed to be a soft funge like texture. Decoreate with slivers of almonds  before serving.
