Toffee brownies

Toffee brownies


Ingredients for brownie layers
  • Oil 100 ml
  • Flour 3 ounces
  • Brown sugar ½ cup
  • Eggs 2
  • Coco 1 tbsp
  • Toffee or vanilla essence 1 tsp
Ingredients for toffee layer
  • Brown sugar 1 cup
  • Salt pinch
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Milk 75 ml
  • Vanilla 1 tsp
  • Cream 1 tbsp
Ingredients for glaze
  • Dark chocolate chopped 200 gm
  • Cream 200 ml
Method
  • Grease 8*8 inches square pan line with butter paper and grease paper, sieve together flour and coco powder in a bowl, melt chocolate on double boiler, in a bowl beat on low speed, oil, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla for just 2 minutes, beat in the melted chocolate and fold in the flour, pour batter in prepared pan, bake on 180 degree for 20 minutes, remove, cool and prepare toffee layer.
Method for toffee layer
  • Combine brown sugar, milk, butter and salt in a sauce pan, cook for 10 minutes till it reaches soft ball stage, cool to Luke warm, remove in a bowl add cream and vanilla, beat until spreadable, quickly spread over the brownie in the pan before it hardens.
Method for glaze
  • Scald cream, add chocolate, and stir until mixed, pour the glaze over toffee layer, one set cut squares.
