Chicken Chana Daal Masala
Ingredients
- Boneless chicken 300 gm cut into 1 inch cubes
- Chana daal 250 gm boiled till tender
- Onion chopped 1 cup
- Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
- Green chilies chopped 4
- Tomatoes 3 to 4 sliced
- Coriander powder 1 ½ tsp
- Cumin powder 1 ½ tsp
- Chili powder 1 ½ tsp
- Allspice ½ tsp
- Curry powder ½ tsp
- Kasori methi 1 tsp
- Oil ½ cup
Ingredients for baghar
Method
- Heat oil add curry leaves and mustard seeds, add chopped onion and fry till light golden add ginger chopped with all dry seasonings, add tomatoes and fry well adding little little water, Then add 300 grams boneless chicken, after this lastly fold in the boiled daal with all spice, kasori meth, leave it on dum, lastly add green chilies and coriander leaves.
