This is a traditional oats, chocolate chip and pecan cookie with added m&m's. Change the color of the m&m's for different holidays or for other occasions.
It mixes up in one bowl.
Melt the butter in a large bowl, then whisk in the egg and vanilla.
Stir in the dry ingredients.
Bake at 350 for about 10-14 minutes.
Enjoy warm cookies and cold milk.
Cowboy Cookies
1-1/3 C flour
1 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
1 C oatmeal
3/4 C m&m's
3/4 C chocolate ships
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 C white sugar
1/2 C pecans, chopped

1/2 C butter, melted (1 stick)
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 t vanilla extract
Melt the butter in a large bowl, whisk in the egg and vanilla.
(if using salted butter, omit the salt in the recipe)
Add the dry ingredients. Combine well and form into 1-1/2" balls.
