Ingredients
Butter 6 ounces
Caster sugar 6 ounces

Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Flour 8 ounces
Baking powder 1 ½ tsp

Almonds 2 ounces sliced
Almonds 2 ounces whole blanched
Mixed peel 2 ounces

Method
Sieve together flour and baking powder, beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy, add eggs 1 at a time alternating with a tablespoon of flour each time add milk, gently fold in the remaining flour and the dry fruits, cover the top with blanched whole almonds, bake in a oven on 150 degree C for 1 hour.
